Sunday Jan. 24, 1965
Got up at 6:30, racked a line while Ray picked up. Mixed meat loaf and made tea for dinner before S.S. Bea was there, Mrs. Hall came about 10 o’clock, only 4 children. Beth, Carla, Robin and Sandra. Ray had $25.00 fish, sold them to Paul, did yesterday too. Baited 4 more shrimp. Seems like we racked and racked but only have 3 ahead, but that’s pretty good considering that we all unracked. Looked at my plants when I fed calves. Cold didn’t do them too bad, they’ll lose leaves but not much more. Stopped at Dadys, gave me some of his sweet potatoes. I baked a chocolate cake, fluffy frosting. I must be getting Tricia’s cold, sure feels like it. Warm today, windy afternoon, some rain, lots of bad looking clouds. Ray had a headache, said his eyes blurred, he should have his eyes checked. I’m afraid the complaints Peggy has had with her feet is because the arches have fallen. Wonder what to do about that? We went to bed at 8:45, believe I fell asleep before the girls did! Must be getting old or catching a cold, one or the other.
