Sunday Feb. 7

Hard blowing rain from about 5.45, roof leaked. On our bed of course. Really rained and blew. Ray finally got in the lake about 7:30. Went to S.S. Bea & Mrs. Hall, 5 children. Ray had $21.84 plus $17.00 scale fish. Put out 4 more. Girls and I racked one a piece this afternoon, Ray and I did almost 2 tonite. We really enjoyed Destry, he's begged cookies, candy, hay, sugar, etc. Saddled him about five, all rode, he was frisky. Rode him back to the pasture just before dark. Mrs. Scholz had her appendix removed yesterday, she's 80, is in Orange Mem. doing fine, Mr. Schulz is so nervous and upset. Was a warm, pretty day after the rain.

Orange Memorial refers to Orange Memorial Hospital, today known as Orlando Regional Medical Center.
